Maranans escaped the summer heat last Thursday with a refreshing trip to the Wade McLean–Marana High School Pool, 12000 W. Emigh. Located just next to Marana High School, the pool features eight lap lanes, a slide, a deep end, zero-depth entry, a tumble bucket water feature, and lots of grass. It is home to the 2005 Pima County Natural Resources Parks and Recreation championship Wade McLean Tiger Sharks swim team.

The pool has open swimming Monday through Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The pool is closed on Fridays.

Admission is $3 for adults ages 18 and over and $1 for children.
