Thursday night, at 7:53 p.m., a car struck and killed an Oro Valley woman at the intersection of Oracle Road and La Reserve Drive.
The woman has been identified as Bessie Datt, 78, of the 10700 block of North La Reserve Drive.
The accident occurred in the northbound lane of Oracle Road, which was closed until about 10:30 p.m.
According to the Oro Valley Police, speed, alcohol and drugs were not a factor. Police did not anticipated that any citations or arrests would take place.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
