Northwest fire crews are on the scene of a vehicle rollover between the Tangerine and Marana exits on the westbound frontage road.

"One patient is trapped and crews are using the jaws of life to free the victim. The condition of the patient is unknown at this time," said Adam Goldberg.

A medical helicopter is enroute to the scene to transport the patient to the trauma center at UAMC.

The sole occupant is a female in her 30's who is in serious condition.  The injuries are not considered life-threatening at this time.

The frontage road is closed while the patient is loaded into the helicopter for transport and the subsequent investigation.

The interstate is not affected by this incident.
