Capturing all 29 of the Arizona delegates, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won the state’s presidential primary on Tuesday. Romney defeated Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul.
Romney was expected to win the Arizona primary, after receiving support across the board this week, including an endorsement from Gov. Jan Brewer.
"I think he's the man that can carry the day," Brewer said. "Mitt is by far the person that can go in and win."
According to the unofficial results, Romney is leading with 41.6 percent of the vote, while Santorum finished with 27.6 percent of the ballots cast. Gingrich finished with 16.9 percent, and Paul carried 9.2 percent.
Romney was also the winner in Michigan, increasing his chances of being the Republican candidate who will face President Barack Obama in the General Election.
This was the last race before Super Tuesday, where 10 states with a total of 419 delegates are at stake.
