On January 2, 2012, at approximately 6:30 p.m., deputies from the Foothills District responded to the Basha's Grocery Store located at 8360 North Thornydale Road in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies were told that a Hispanic male approached the pharmacy inside the store and gave the clerk a note demanding Oxycodone. The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of drugs totaling $36,000.00.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male. He was wearing a dreadlock wig, hooded sweatshirt and gloves. Still photographs are being released in hope that someone in the community saw this suspect. A video may be forthcoming. Anyone with information is asked to contact 911 or 88-CRIME (882-7463).
