After Republican Martha McSally led by a small margin since Tuesday, Democrat Ron Barber took the lead in the still undecided Congressional District 2 race.

According to the unofficial numbers, Barber currently leads with 123,650 votes. McSally isn't far behind with 123,064.

The state has 10 days after an election to count provisional and early ballots that were turned in on election day. While Pima County had 80,000 ballots to go through, earlier this week, Secretary of State Ken Bennett reported 602,000 ballots still had to be counted before the 10-day deadline expires.

Barber and McSally have agreed to wait until all the counting is complete before a winner is declared.

A canvas of the votes is slated for Dec. 3.
