Mountain Vista Fire District crews worked to extinguish a house fire on the northwest side yesterday, where a woman jumped from the second story to escape the flames.

Dawn Barkman of the Pima County Sheriff's Department said the woman suffered severed injuries and was airvaced to a nearby hospital.

Barkman also stated that foul play is not suspected in the fire, as it has been ruled accidental.

The fire is located at the 2800 block of W. Riberia Place, near Shannon Rd. and Lambert Lane.
