Celebrate summer’s last holiday weekend in tropical style without leaving Arizona. Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa is offering travelers the chance to take a virtual trip to not just one island, but four. Starting at $99 per night, from Thursday, Aug. 29 to Sunday, Sept. 1, go virtual island-hopping between Aruba (Aug. 29), Hawaii (Aug. 30), Jamaica (Aug. 31), and Barbados (Sept. 1).

Enjoy cocktails inspired by the four islands. These include the Island Rum Cranberry Cabana from Aruba, the Blue Hawaiian, Rasta Man Vibration from Jamaica, and the Tropical Highball, which blends Barbados’ renowned Mount Gay rum with Angostura bitters and ginger ale.

The non-alcoholic menu is equally inspired, with flavors of citrus, coconut and pineapple. Guests will also be able to snack on exotic treats, served poolside from colorful, food-style street carts. Entrées include Aruba’s Spiced Beef Empanada and Pan-Seared Papaya Mahi Mahi, Hawaii’s Kalua Pig, Jamaican Rum Pork and Jerk Chicken, and Barbados’ Grilled Island Vegetable Kebob. Got a sweet tooth? Then head straight for Kesio (Aruban flan) and mini versions of Hawaii’s Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Appleton Rum Cake from Jamaica, and Bajan Bread Pudding with rum-plumped raisins from Barbados. Whenever possible, dishes will be made with fruits and greens grown on-site in our Chef’s Garden.

This Labor Day celebration is part of Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa’s Tropical Escape tour, showcasing different island getaways each weekend (Thursday-Saturday) through Sept. 6, 2013. Rates begin at $99 per night or from $119 per night with a $25 food and beverage credit.
