Yesterday, a military recruiter at Flowing Wells High School was arrested and charged with five counts of sexual conduct with a minor
On Oct. 17, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department learned about an inappropriate relationship between a military recruiter at Flowing Wells High School and a female student.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Crimes Against Children Unit began their investigation and confirmed there was a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student. After getting search warrants, additional evidence was found that strengthened the case against the recruiter.
In complying with the latest search warrant, the suspect responded to the Sheriff’s Administration Building on Benson Highway on Oct. 31 and was taken into custody. He was identified as 29-year-old Matthew Troy Roberts.
