A man was shot by Pima County Sheriff's deputy early Sunday morning after responding to a domestic violence call on the Northwest side.
According to the sheriff's department, deputies were called to the 6100 block of North Pepper Tree Lane around 5:15 a.m.
Two deputies arrived on scene, where a woman was inside the home at the house, located near Orange Grove Road and North Camino de La Tierra.
According to sheriff's spokesman Tom Piene, deputies were outside talking to the woman's boyfriend when he allegely reached for a weapon. One of the deputies shot the man, who was then transported to the University of Arizona Medical Center.
The suspect's condition is unknown. No deputies were injuried on the scene.
