On Oct. 28, 2012, at approximately 4:00 p.m., deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department Foothills District responded to a home invasion in the 7700 block of North Stargrass Drive.
After talking to the victims, deputies learned that two individuals had made contact at the front of the residence. They asked if the homeowner needed yard work done and then asked for water.
When the victim opened the door, he was overwhelmed by the intruders, beaten and put in a choke hold. The assailant held a gun to the victim’s head and forced him back into the residence.
Two females who were also inside the house were forced to the back of the building at gun point by the second suspect, an African-American male. The perpetrators demanded valuables and money. After taking two wallets and a cell phone they left.
Deputies found out that the entire incident was caught on surveillance video. A third suspect, who appears to be Hispanic, can be seen on the video entering the residence after the first two suspects.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Robbery/Assault Unit were able to develop a credible lead early in the investigation which lead to the identification of the African-American male as Dominique Tyron Dixon (27). Surveillance was set up on Dixon and he was arrested yesterday in the parking lot of the Tucson Mall.
Anyone with information on this case or who can identify one of the other two suspects is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME. The investigation continues.
