At approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening, Pima County Sheriff's deputies from the Tucson Mountain and Foothills District responded to West Picture Rocks Road and Wade Road in reference to a serious vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, deputies determined a westbound traveling 1997 Chevy SUV drifted left of the center line colliding with a truck and another (third) vehicle before rolling.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. She was identified as Lana Olga Cuson, 41.
The drivers of the two other vehicles involved were uninjured. The driver of the first vehicle hit (truck) was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Traffic Unit detectives have advised that Picture Rocks Road between Wade Road and Sandario Road will be closed for the next several hours for investigation purposes.
