Oro Valley Police Department spokeswoman Kara Riley said around 8 p.m. Thursday night a shooting occured near Oracle Road and First Avenue in Oro Valley.

One person has been rushed to a local hospital. There is no word on his condition at this point.

Riley said while it is early in the investigation, it appears to be a case of road rage where a man driving a truck shot at the now-hospitalized man who was driving a car.

While there have been no official arrests at this time, Riley said police do have a person of interest in custody.

It appears police are going to be shutting down both sides of Oracle Road while the investigation continues.
