The Tucson Police Department will be supporting the Second Annual “Stand Up to Stop Violence” comedy fundraiser by collecting new or gently used stuffed animals. Between Aug. 8 and Sept. 2, officers from the Tucson Police Department will accept the stuffed animals from citizens.
Stuffed animals can be given to any patrol officer at any time of day or night. Additionally, they can be dropped off at any of the five substations during normal business hours. All of the stuffed animals collected during this month-long effort will be donated at the “Stand Up to Stop Violence” fundraiser event benefiting Emerge Center to Prevent Domestic Abuse and the Blair Charity Group.
The fundraiser is scheduled to take place at the Fox Theater at 7 p.m. on Sept. 9.
Please help the Tucson Police Department to collect new or used stuffed animals for this worthwhile cause. Questions about the stuffed animal collection can be directed to Lieutenant Paul Sayre at 791-4441.
