Pima County Department of Transportation, Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) and their contractor, KE&G, continue improvements on the Cortaro Farms Road/Magee Road: Thornydale Road to Oracle Road Improvement Project.
MILLING AND PAVING
On Monday KE&G started pavement milling operations on the south side (eastbound lane) of Cortaro Farms/Magee Road from Thornydale Road to North Shannon Road. Once milling operations are completed the south side of Cortaro Farms/Magee Road will be paved with a temporary detour so that traffic can be shifted onto the south side (eastbound lane) of Cortaro Farms/Magee Road.
TRAFFIC SHIFT – JUNE 20, 2012
Starting Wednesday, June 20, 2012, both east- and westbound traffic will be shifted onto the south side (eastbound lane) of Cortaro Farms Road from Thornydale Road to Shannon Road to begin construction of the north side (westbound lane) of Cortaro Farms/Magee Road.
MIDNIGHT WAY TEMPORARY CLOSURE – JUNE 18 – 22, 2012
Midnight Way at Cortaro Farms Road will be closed starting at 5:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2012. This closure is necessary in order for KE&G to perform underground pipe removals and pavement milling operations. Midnight Way will reopen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012. Please use North Wheatfield Drive at Cortaro Farms as an alternate route.
All businesses will remain accessible during construction.
Please approach these areas with caution and obey all traffic control devices. In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the schedule is subject to change.
