Marana voters approved both questions on the General Election ballot Tuesday.
In a landslide, voters approved amendments to the Town of Marana General Development Plan. The unofficial results had 2,741 votes in favor of the change, and 553 voted against it.
The Marana plan, originally approved in 2002, was developed to set visions for future growth and development, and is updated as needed every three to five years.
The 2010 plan is divided into five themes: land management, built environment, people and community, resource management and natural systems.
The second question involved the Trico Electric Cooperative Franchise agreement, which was approved 2,737 to 367.
As required by law, voters must vote to either accept or reject the Marana Town Council's vote to renew the agreement, which allows Trico to continue providing services to residents.
