Northwest Fire District responded to a motorcycle accident at Harman Lane and Cortaro Farms Road on Saturday.

Just before noon, paramedics arrived to find a 53 year-old male who had suffered life-threatening critical injuries after losing control of his motorcycle.

The Marana Police Department was at the scene to conduct the investigation into the cause of the accident.

The rider, who was wearing an old-fashion style “short” helmet, was transported to the Trauma Center the at University of Arizona’s Central Campus.

According to Northwest Fire spokesman Adam Goldberg, this is the second accident involving a motorcycle on the Northwest side within 16 hours. The first accident occurred on Picture Rocks Road Friday, and resulted in a fatality for the motorcycle rider.
