The town of Marana is improving the following roadway:

Marana road between Sandario Road and the western town limits.

From Monday, may 2 through Friday, may 6 crews will work on Marana road between Sandario Road and the western town limits to complete the application of a layer of rubberized chip seal over the existing asphalt. The chip seal is a preliminary phase of work prior to the resurfacing of the roadway with new asphalt. During this operation, pilot vehicles will escort motorists through the construction zone. Motorists may be required to stop for as long as 30 minutes until escorted.

For your safety and that of the contractor (cactus asphalt), please comply with all escort vehicles, traffic control devices, flagging personnel and/or detour signs.

Please be aware and observant of construction activities during the course of the project. Your commute and travel time may increase during construction so adjust your schedule accordingly. Construction may restrict traffic lanes and create congestion. Taking alternate routes is suggested.

If inclement weather or other events cause delays, the work may be rescheduled without further notice.

Improvements to the town of Marana's roadways may cause a temporary inconvenience. We appreciate your patience during this time.
