Jan Lawson Honea, wife of Marana Mayor Ed Honea, died Sunday morning after a battle with cancer.
The Honeas were married for 17 years. They met when Mrs. Honea was the President of the Marana Chamber of Commerce. She was born in Mesa and moved to Marana in 1994.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked well-wishers to make donations to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Honea's name.
Mrs. Honea is survived by her husband, two brothers, two children, five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services will be held March 3 at 11 a.m. at Marana Mortuary.
