Arts in the Park
Oro Valley’s Cañada Del Oro Riverfront Park, 551 W. Lambert
Lane, was transformed last weekend into a bit of the Montmatre in
Paris, Montreux jazz festival and a kid-friendly amusement park as
area residents flocked there March 18-20 for the Arts in the Park
Fine Art & Jazz Festival.
The festival has garnered national recognition over the years
for the quality and variety of artisans and entertainment it has
brought to Oro Valley. Now in its 15th year, the event prominently
featured another classic art form – jazz. Top musicians from
Southern Arizona and beyond took to the main stage. The event also
featured a fine-art marketplace, gourmet foods and numerous
activities catering to children and their families.
Arts in the Park is part of a series of Oro Valley festivals
presented by the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance. The
next is scheduled for Oct. 21-23. For more information, visit
www.orovalleyfestival.org.
