In honor of Latino/Hispanic Heritage Month, Pima Community College’s Northwest Campus is hosting “Speakers for the Future!” this Thursday, Sept. 25, from noon to 1 p.m.
The free event is sponsored by the Northwest Campus Office of Student Life.
Raul Almazan of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Sophia Ramos of the University of Arizona’s Student Affairs division will lead a discussion “on the achievements of the Latino/Hispanic community and the rapid growth of this population in the United States,” a release said.
Chipotle Restaurants is donating burritos, chips and salsa for the event.
The College’s Northwest Campus library will also feature a cultural exhibit in celebration of Latino/Hispanic Heritage Month.
Pima Community College’s Northwest Campus is located at 7600 N. Shannon Road.
