Paradise Valley, near Camelback Mountain, has a population of roughly 14,500, an annual budget of $25 million and 90 employees. It also has the distinction as one of the wealthiest cities in the nation, with a median household income of more that $150,000, according to U.S. Census data. The median home value in Paradise Valley was more than $772,000 in 2000, the Census indicated.
After Andrews resigned his Oro Valley position, a resident filed a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office alleging collusion among council members prior to the meeting when Andrews resigned. The issue remains under investigation.
