Silverbell ribbon, park ground break Friday

A ribbon-cutting on Silverbell Road and a ground-breaking for the Silverbell-Cortaro District Park is set for 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, on Silverbell just south of the Wheeler Taft Abbett Sr. Library in Marana.

The event is free and open to the public. It has been arranged by the town of Marana.

Silverbell has been built from Cortaro Road to Ina Road in Marana.

Silverbell-Cortaro District Court includes soccer, baseball / softball and slow-pitch softball fields, basketball, tennis and sand volleyball courts, group and picnic ramadas, concessions facilities and restrooms, playgrounds, a dog park, a festival / outdoor performance area, preserved cultural resource features, multi-use paths and walkways.
