A Medicare conference in Oro Valley on Thursday, Nov. 18, should help Medicare enrollees “decipher the plan changes” that take effect Jan. 1, according to a release from the Pima Council on Aging.
The event begins at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Sun City Vistoso Social Hall, 1495 Rancho Vistoso Blvd. Seating is available for up to 400 people.
The annual open enrollment period for all Medicare beneficiaries began Monday, Nov. 15. People who are “comparing the cost of plans or who may be shopping for a new plan” may want to participate in the conference.
Certified commercial insurance company representatives have been invited, and guests can pick up plan information provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Bridgeway, CareMore, HealthNet of Arizona, Humana, SCAN Health Plan, Sterling Plans and UnitedHealthcare, the release said.
Registration information is available at www.pcoa.org, or by calling 324-1960. Tickets are $10 each. Each person receives a 250-page resource guide.
