A recent fire has left a house in SaddleBrooke gutted.
When firefighters arrived at the home of Boyd and Madeline Bosma on Friday, May 16, the blaze had already spread throughout the home, said Golder Ranch Fire District spokesman John Sullivan.
“It posed a significant challenge to firefighters because it was in a two-story home in a master-planned community,” Sullivan said.
Sullivan said the cause of the fire remains under investigation, as well as where the blaze started.
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Department is also conducting an investigation, a standard procedure when significant property losses occur, Sullivan said.
The Bosmas did not want to speak publicly about their property loss.
Boyd Bosma is a soon-to-be former member of the Oracle Elementary School District Governing Board.
Bosma, along with two board colleagues, recently was voted out of office in a controversial and emotionally charged recall election.
Sullivan said the fire did not cause any serious physical injuries, though one person was treated at the scene. The injured person did not need to be taken to the hospital.
