Twin Peaks Road, Twin Peaks Interchange
Twin Peaks Interchange and Twin Peaks Road are being opened to traffic by 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19.
The Town of Marana, Regional Transportation Authority and Arizona Department of Transportation are partners in the project.
Twin Peaks Interchange construction includes the addition of bridges over I-10, the Union Pacific Railroad and the Santa Cruz River. The project also improves drainage and roadway conditions along Twin Peaks and Silverbell roads.
The Twin Peaks Road project realigns and connects 3.3 miles of roadway from the Twin Peaks Interchange to the intersection of Tangerine Road and Dove Mountain Boulevard.
Tangerine Road, UP to Thornydale
This Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 17 and 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., crews will work along Tangerine Road from the Union Pacific Railroad to Thornydale Road to apply permanent pavement markings. Motorists may be detoured around work zones by flaggers or temporary traffic control devices at isolated locations along the roadway.
Contractor Southwest Asphalt Paving asks that people comply with all traffic control devices, flagging personnel and detour signs.
