With 55 potential employers already registered, Central Arizona College’s 7th Annual Job & Career Fair will be held on Thursday, April 7, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the Signal Peak Campus, 8470 N. Overfield Road in Coolidge.

There is no fee for job seekers to attend. This year, job seekers with limited transportation can attend the fair through no-cost transportation provided by Cotton Express of Pinal County.

When boarding the bus, attendees are to inform the driver that they are going to the fair at the Signal Peak Campus. Some of the pick-up/drop-off locations along the Cotton Express routes are: Corrections Corporation of America, Florence Senior Center, Florence County Complex, Florence Health Center, Transit Station in Coolidge, Martin Valley, Promenade Shopping Center and Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.

The fair will take place inside the George Young Activity Center at the Signal Peak Campus, which is located just off I-10 between the cities of Casa Grande and Coolidge.

“This is one of the largest job and career fairs in Pinal County,” explained Ann Mitchell, who coordinates the event for Central Arizona College. “It is one of the best opportunities for employers and potential employees to meet in person. Employers attend this event specifically to speak with potential employees.”

In addition, organizations and businesses will be on the CAC campus to recruit potential volunteers, provide entrepreneurial opportunities, and provide education information for those who desire to acquire a degree or certificate when seeking employment in a new field.

“The fair also offers a chance for participants to learn about new careers and receive assistance in job preparation, such as resume writing, interview skills and public speaking,” Mitchell said. “Job seekers should dress in business attire and bring multiple copies of their resume.”
