From Sunday to Friday, 170 kids ranging in
ages 5 to 17 took part in all the activities offered at the YMCA's
Triangle Y Ranch Camp and Retreat Center, located in Oracle.
The 42 counselors supervised the kids as they
climbed rock walls, rode horses, and shot rifles and arrows, all
while nestled in the Coronado National Forest where the temperature
is usually 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Tucson.
The camp, which spans 400 acres, is open
year-round, offering weeklong getaways for camps, church retreats
and business groups that range in size from 25 to 300 people.
