The Town of Oro Valley is now accepting applications for volunteers to fill many positions on boards and commissions.
Applicants must be residents of the town of Oro Valley, and must attend the town's Citizen Planning Institute during their term, if they have not already done so. The open positions are:
Board of Adjustment: one position, to serve a two-year term;
Development Review Board: two positions, to serve two-year terms;
Finance and Bond Committee: one position, to serve a two-year term;
Historic Preservation Commission: one position, to serve a three-year term;
Parks & Recreation Advisory Board: two positions, to serve two-year terms;
Planning & Zoning Commission: two positions, to serve a two-year term;
StormWater Utility Commission: two positions, to serve two-year terms;
Art Review Commission: two positions, to serve a one-year term.
Each body holds public meetings, usually about once a month.
