A Pima County Sheriff’s deputy inspects debris around a pickup on Ina Road, west of La Cañada Drive, where the driver was killed last Friday morning after a crash.
A car driven by Myron Francisco was traveling eastbound on Ina Road and collided with the pickup.
The truck, which had pulled onto eastbound Ina, failed to yield to oncoming traffic, according to Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Dawn Hanke.
The truck rolled several times. The truck’s passenger, Kathleen Harvey, and its driver, Arthur James Durant, 64, were taken to University Medical Center, where Durant later was pronounced dead.
Hanke said neither speed, nor alcohol was a factor in the crash, which closed eastbound Ina Road for several hours.
