A march and rally in support of the Naranja Townsite Park bond election begins at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5.
It starts at 10 a.m. at the Safeway parking lot on Rancho Vistoso, and proceeds south on North First Avenue to Lambert Lane. From there, walkers head west to Riverfront Park.
Carpooling, good footwear and supportive signage are being encouraged.
Youth participants are marching with their respective teams and organizations in uniform. Organizations pledging their support include Oro Valley Fast Pitch Softball, the Arizona Cats ASA Softball Club, Coronado Little League, Canyon del Oro Little League, Touch ’Em All Youth Baseball Academy, AYSO 922 and Oro Valley Dolphins Youth Football, according to the Citizens for Naranja Park Bonds.
The $48 million Naranja Townsite Park bond election is on the Nov. 4 ballot.
