‘Tip-a-cop’ event set for Sept. 2 0 comments
A Sept. 2 benefit for the Special Olympics will include the Marana, Oro Valley and Pima County police departments.
Law enforcement employees will help wait staff at a local restaurant and collect tips. “Tip-a-Cop” will take place at Texas Road House, 8450 N. Cracker Barrel Road, from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Previous Special Olympics fund-raisers sponsored by Marana police brought in $6,000.
