A Pima County Superior Court judge decided prison time was not appropriate for a former Marana police officer convicted of computer tampering.
On Friday, Aug. 20, Judge Jose Robles sentenced Calvin Ingram to 24 months of probation and suspended any prison time the former officer faced.
Ingram pleaded guilty in June to four counts of computer tampering. The agreement stemmed from a 27-count indictment issued in 2009.
Ingram had faced as many as two years in prison for illegally accessing the private information of dozens of people by using restricted law enforcement databases. His probationary period began immediately.
