A fund-raising car wash is being held this Saturday, April 11, to help the family of Tracy Topac and Charles Ward, who lost their home in a March 2 fire in Catalina.

The car wash is being put on by friends from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Burger King in Catalina. Donations are welcome.

Topac, Ward and two sons, ages 7 and 17, have been living in a recreational vehicle next to the burned double-wide mobile home. They lost everything, according to Topac.

"Tracy had just gotten her income tax check, cashed it, and it burned" in the fire, the friend said. "They're a really nice family."
