A Tucson television station is holding a meeting next month in the Northwest to talk about “The Big Switch” to digital television signals.
KOLD Channel 13 is inviting residents to an open house Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Wheeler Taft Abbett Jr. Library in Marana. It held a similar open house Tuesday afternoon at the Oro Valley Public Library.
Effective Feb. 17, anyone who uses rabbit ears on an older TV set that lacks a built-in digital tuner will no longer have reception unless they buy a converter box, a release said. “Cable or satellite users are going to be just fine.”
Experts from the station are assisting anyone with questions. For more information, contact Jonathan Saupe, KOLD special project producer, at jsaupe@kold.com.
