A Northwest church is hosting a June 27 event intended to help people create "advance directives" in the event of medical emergency.

Licensed professionals Lorraine Yentzer and Paige Hector offer "Advance Directives: Helping you help your loved ones" from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at the Thornydale Family Church, 10501 N. Thornydale Road.

The seminar helps people "prepare the appropriate documents to guide their families in their medical care in the event of a medical emergency," a release said. Yentzer and Hector have "extensive experience working with patients, families and the medical community in these situations. The seminar will be practical and hands-on and will enable participants to prepare the actual documents that they need based on their own personal beliefs and desires."

Registration and materials are $10. For more information, or to register, go to www.thornydalechurch.org.
