Oro Valley police have arrested a woman suspected of robbing a bank in Rancho Vistoso earlier Tuesday.
At a few minutes past noon on Tuesday, Aug. 17, Cheryl Suzanne Violet, 47, allegedly entered the Bank of America at 12132 N. Rancho Vistoso Boulevard. Using a note, she demanded money.
“Officers at the scene had a good vehicle description and a license plate number,” Oro Valley Police Department spokeswoman Liz Wright said.
An officer in an unmarked police car saw the driver and made a traffic stop near Lambert Lane and La Cañada Drive shortly after the robbery. Violet was arrested without incident, Wright said.
The suspect was taken to Pima County Adult Detention Center and booked into jail.
