When the pie hits your eye

Pie! Pie!" Librarian Pam Gautier and Principal Andy Heinemann were also on the receiving ends of pies as a prize for the school's Scholastic Books sales exceeding their $5,000 goal by $1,500.

Harelson Elementary School principal Andy Heinemann draws a laugh even from librarian Kathy Schwarz during a school assembly last week. As a reward for exceeding $5,000 in Scholastic Books sales in one week, librarians and the principal received a pie or two in the face. The school was able to profit about $2,400 from the sales, with the funds to be put toward the library because funding has been frozen since February.
