Local legislator Nancy Young Wright announced that she intends to seek re-election to the Arizona House of Representatives.

Young Wright, a Democrat, represents District 26, an area covering Oro Valley, Catalina and other portions of northern Pima County.

She was selected in January to replace Rep. Lena Saradnik, who fell ill in late 2007 and decided to resign from office.

Previously, Young Wright served three terms on the Amphitheater School District Governing Board.

Don Jorgensen is also seeking a Democratic nomination from District 26.

Three Republicans, Trent Humphries, Vic Williams and Marilyn Zerull, are also running.

Two District 26 House seats go before the voters in November.
