Sixteen students at Painted Sky Elementary School were rewarded with the opportunity to turn their principal into a human hot dog last week in front of the entire school.

Principal Angela Wichers gave the school a $1,000 goal to raise for One For Books. If the students met their goal, Wichers promised she would dress up as a hot dog and be covered in ketchup and mustard. The school held its annual Scholastic Book Fair in conjunction with One For Books.

The school is using the money raised during the fundraiser for library purchases while the company, One For Books, matches the money raised dollar-for-dollar to be donated to underperforming schools in Arizona.

Though the students came in slightly shy of their goal, Wichers thought the students earned the assembly.
