Unidentified gunmen opened fire on an Oro Valley house in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 16.

Multiple gunshots struck the window and a pair of cars at the house on the 13000 block of North Tarzana Road, near the intersection of La Cañada Drive and Moore Road. No one was injured.

Police have not identified suspects in the shooting, but in an interesting turn of events, a resident of the house was arrested.

Krystian F. Zarate, 18, was arrested and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on charges of possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of a firearm.

Police officials said Zarate did not have a prior criminal history. A motive for the shooting has not been determined.

Police did not want to release more details about the incident, which remains under investigation.

Zarate lives at the house with his parents and four juvenile siblings. No one was hurt in the incident.

Police said a light-colored sedan of unknown make was seen leaving the area after the shooting.

Anyone with information should call 88-CRIME or 9-1-1.
