A bank robbery in Oro Valley on Tuesday has caught the attention of the FBI.
Shortly before noon yesterday, Nov. 25, Oro Valley police responded to the Wells Fargo Bank near Oracle Road and First Avenue, where bank employees reported a robbery.
Now the FBI has gotten involved in the investigation because the suspect appears to be the same robber who held up a bank in Prescott and another one in Phoenix.
Phoenix FBI officials gave the robber the nickname the "Mid-Life Crisis Bandit.”
According to an FBI description, the suspect stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 200 to 250 pounds.
The FBI describes the man as white, of Hispanic descent, but possibly disguising his appearance with a wig and fake mustache.
The suspected robber gives a note to bank tellers demanding money and threatening to hurt the employees if they don’t comply.
He also implies that he has a weapon, according to the FBI.
Anyone with information about the bank robber should contact the FBI Phoenix Division at (602) 279-5511.
