The Marana Police Department has asked the public for help in solving a murder from 1987.

On Nov. 25, 1987, Marana police discovered the body of an unidentified woman near Interstate 10 in northern Marana.

The woman was estimated to be between 17 to 21 years old, possibly Hispanic or white, five-feet three-inches tall, 138 pounds, with brown hair. When found, she was wearing a gray sweatshirt, plaid flannel shirt, white shoes and a hooded-denim "Members Only" jacket.

Police recently had a sculptor's reproduction of the woman's likeness made.

Anyone with information about the woman has been asked to call Det. Joe Castillo or Tom Mooney at 382-2000.

A flier can be found at www.marana.com/janedoe and on Facebook under the name "Jane Doe #19."
