The Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona has honored its 2008 community award winners and installed its officers and board of directors for 2008-2009.
Heading the list of this year’s award winners were Man of the Year Gary Kippur and Woman of the Year Esther Capin.
Kippur is a board member of the federation and University of Arizona Hillel Foundation, and the chair of the federation’s Next Generation Men’s Group.
Capin is chair of federation strategic planning and a former chair of the Arizona Board of Regents.
Jonathan Green and Jennifer Cassius received the Gary I. Sarver Young Man and Young Woman of the Year Awards, which include stipends to be applied toward an Israel mission or attendance at the General Assembly of United Jewish Communities.
Jennifer Miller Grant was installed as chair of the board.
