A fire ignited Monday morning just northwest of Bisbee, reaching more than 180 acres by mid-afternoon, prompting the temporary evacuation of at least 30 residences and occupying 14 fire departments.
The Mule Pass Fire was approximately 40 percent contained by Monday night, according to a release from the Arizona Department of Forestry.
No structures had been lost or damaged, no outbuildings lost or damaged.
Thirty residences to the north and southwest of Bisbee had been evacuated Monday; people were allowed back into their homes later Monday.
A total of 190 people were involved in the fire fight. Cause of the fire was under investigation
