John Flanagan: Community newspapers are a good thing in promoting local schools, sports, education, business, etc, and probably will continue. Nevertheless, many local papers across the country are gone because of the loss of readers and advertising revenue. The Internet and the pace of life in America have affected the print media in a negative way. Yet, it is comforting to have a good newspaper in your hand and read about local events with a cup of coffee.
