Multi-Media Advertising Sales Consultant
The Explorer Newspaper has an immediate opening for a full-time Multi-Media Advertising Sales Consultant. In this role you will market multiple print and online products to local businesses. Primary responsibilities include: prospecting and cold calling on new businesses, developing marketing campaigns utilizing numerous print and online products, managing existing accounts and developing new business accounts with a consistent focus on reaching established sales budgets. In this role you will be armed for success with some of the most effective marketing tools available to businesses in Northwest Tucson.
The Explorer Newspaper located on Ina and Mona Lisa, offers an excellent compensation package including base salary plus commission, benefits, 401(k), and working in a fun team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with college degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to be a quick learner
- Organized, with persistent desire to succeed
- Great attitude
- Team player
- Valid driver’s license
Previous print and/or interactive sales experience is a plus.

Internship Opportunities
The Explorer Newspaper, The Voice of Oro Valley, Marana and Northwest Tucson, is seeking go-getting reporters and photographers to dig in and produce strong stories and photos of local issues, people and events for our print and electronic products.
This is not a paid internship: however, you can earn credits towards classes. In addition, you’ll make a real difference in the lives of our readers, while receiving real-world training and experience in your chosen field, and building your book of clips.

Responsibilities
- Prospecting, Calling, Presenting & Closing small to medium business.
- Embrace and follow best practices laid forth by the management team.
- Meet or exceed monthly quotas in new business launched.
- Actively participate in meetings and ongoing training sessions.
- Actively participate in call and demo coaching.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma with Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Passionate about the combination of local, online and social medias.
- Excellent phone skills and must be comfortable making sales calls on a daily basis.
- Competitive personality & transactional sales skills.
- Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
