The Dorados moved to 8-0 overall and 2-0 in regional play.

Senior running back Ka'Deem Carey did not play due to a violation of team policy. Eddie Smith carried the load, gaining 94 yards on the ground, catching three passes for 48 yards and scoring on an 11-yard run.

Quarterback Jason McBrayer was called on to throw more than usual. He led a productive aerial attack, completing 11 of 15 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns. McBrayer, one of the area's leading rushers, added 70 yards rushing and a touchdown run. Carey has 812 yards rushing, sixth in Southern Arizona, and is averaging 10.3 yards per carry.

This Friday, the Dorados travel to Pueblo.

The Nighthawks bulled for 421 yards rushing against Buena.

Tyler D'Amore leads all area quarterbacks with 1,705 yards passing and 21 touchdown passes. Trevor Wesley has 45 catches and 685 yards receiving to lead all area players in catches and yards.

This Friday, the Nighthawks host red-hot Sunnyside, led by the area's leading rusher, Manny Vera.

Pusch Ridge 40, Hayden Winkelman 0

Tyler Goodwillie completed six of nine passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns for the Lions, now 6-1. He also ran for 74 yards and two touchdowns.

"The line was clicking," said coach Bob Vance. "Goodwillie threw the ball well."

Tyler Vance had 119 yards of all-purpose yardage, but left with a concussion.

Daniel McLeod had a one-handed interception, and the defense recorded its fourth shutout during the team's six-game winning streak.

This Friday, the Lions host San Carlos.

Mountain View

The Mountain Lions (3-4, 2-1) had a bye. They'll probably have to win at least two of their last three games to make the playoffs.

This Friday, the Mountain Lions host Sierra Vista Buena.
