The men’s soccer team got back on track on Saturday beating South Mountain Community College 6-0 at the West Campus.

Tyler Terrell (Barry Goldwater HS) had a hat-trick for the Aztecs. With Pima up 2-0, Terrell helped widened the lead with goals in the 32nd, 36th and 48th minutes. He has four goals on the season.

The Aztecs had been shut out the last two games but they got on the board early when Fabian Romero (Sunnyside HS) scored with an assist from Jacob Green (Sabino HS) in the 9th minute. Romero struck again in the 13th with an assist from JC Henson (Buena HS). Enrique Alvarez (Flowing Wells HS) scored his first goal of the season in the 90th.

The Aztecs out-shot South Mountain 21-4 for the game. Goalkeeper Hector Zamorano (Pueblo HS) played the second half and had one save. Tyler Wilson (Buena HS) started the game in the net but had no saves.

The Aztecs are off until Saturday Sept. 8 when they play GateWay Community College at Rose Mofford Sports Complex. The game will be at 4:30 p.m.
