The Aztecs cut the lead in half after Juan Gamez (Cienega HS) scored a run on a Sergio Ortiz (Sunnyside HS) hit in the 3rd inning. Ortiz got on base after an error was made. Keith Zuniga (Nogales HS) pitched five innings and gave up five runs (two earned) on eight hits with two strikeouts and four walks. He dropped to 5-2 on the year. Bryant Muñoz (Tucson Magnet HS) finished the game 3 for 3 at the plate.
